Carbella The first carbon real estate trust

Welcome

Carbella is a primary sponsor of carbon emission reduction projects. The objective of the company is to re-forest significant portions of the world’s degraded lands. The growing trees absorb carbon dioxide and the resulting carbon credits are sold on the carbon exchanges at a markup to cost, providing investors a return on equity.

Our 20,000 acre reforestation project in Madagascar is a leading example of how degraded land can be restored while absorbing atmospheric carbon on a large scale.

In addition to generating financial returns for  investors and joint venture partners, Carbella projects offer tremendous social good at the community level.  Each Carbella site is funded to create long-lasting economic benefits directly in the community where the reforestation is implemented. Each project includes an endowment and permanent monetary fund to finance jobs and training, build schools, plant sustainable farms, and train forest managers in ecological stewardship.

Each Carbella project meets three criteria:

• The project converts degraded land back to native forest

• The resultant carbon credits are projected to provide a return to investors

• The project is capable of creating meaningful and lasting social benefits in the host country.
